Winter is here

Today the first snowflakes were falling. Slowly but steadily light flakes tumbled down all day long. Early in the evening the roads and roofs were covered with a white blanket.

I took this photo early in the night when the moon was peeping through the clouds, illuminating the houses and the forest with an ice cold light.

And with the first snow the Christmas market in the village is starting with hot wine punch and Christmas cookies.
